Korčula is renowned as the birthplace of Marco Polo and one of Croatian’s exquisite town which one must visit if you staying near Dubrovnik.

You will drive up the coast from Dubrovnik, following a route that meanders via the vineyards and valleys of the Pelješac Peninsula which is only joined to the mainland by a thin silver of land and concludes at the coastal town of Orebic.

Our first stop is Ston, town on Pelješac peninsula which is known for its economic and strategic importance and as gained as the second most important town of Dubrovnik Republic. This is visible as it is surrounded by the monumental walls, constructed between the 14th and 15th centuries, and extending over 5 kilometres in length and measuring 5-10 metres in height. After a brief stop in Ston, we will head for 45 minutes’ drive to the small town of Orebic, from where we will take a boat directly to the island Korčula and its old town.

Korčula is the island with the most plentiful vegetation in the Adriatic, and it’s a kind of ecological Eden of the Mediterranean. The town is amongst the best-preserved medieval towns of the Mediterranean and a traditional tourist and cultural centre of the island. On the island you have one hour guided tour and about 2 hours free time.

Before we drive back to Dubrovnik and conclude the tour, we will make a stop on Pelješac in a private-run vineyard cellar for a wine tasting session of the best wine sorts of Croatia.
