Danube Bend – an expedition into Hungary's history. This is a memorable tour along the "Blue Danube" with stops in Esztergom, Visegrád and Szentendre. A full-day tour with a professional guide will make this tour an experience worth remembering.

Esztergom: It was once the capital of Hungary and now also is the centre of the Catholic Church. We will then visit Esztergom Basilica, the largest cathedral of Hungary where famous cardinals like Primate József Mindszenty were buried. Afterwards, we drive across the river to Slovakia and enjoy the view over the Basilica.

Visegrád: After the Mongol invasion a new fortification was built up here in the mid-13th century. The top of the hill presents an alluring panorama on the Danube valley. After experiencing the view there is a good opportunity to have lunch (own expense) at any of the amazing cafes before heading to Szentendre.

Szentendre: Situated at the gate of Danube Bend, it is a small baroque city built on medieval ruins. The town is famously known as the Artists' Village or the Painters' Town. Take the best of the town by walking along the historical centre and the cobblestoned narrow streets along with the baroque houses. After the guided tour, enjoy leisure time exploring some of the famous museums such as Margit Kovács Ceramic Museum or the Confectionery Museum with marzipan figures.

During summer (May-September) we return to Budapest by boat.
