After a drive to the German border we reach the lovely landscapes of the Eifel mountain region and make a first stop at Monschau, the "Pearl of the Eifel”, a tiny, historic town in the German Eifel mountain region. Mostly unchanged for over 300 years, the narrow, cobblestoned streets and conventional half-timbered houses have made this fascinating place one of the primary tourist attractions of the region.
